about iztok šalamon
From an early age, Iztok has shown a passion for aviation. In primary school, he was a member of the Modellers Club, building and testing his aircraft designs. At 13, he joined a local air club, first flying and competing in gliders, later becoming a sport and commercial pilot at the age of nineteen year old. He has a degree in Aviation engineering, is a flight instructor and test pilot, and has accumulated over 10.000 flight hours.
In 1998, he formed the aviation company AIRNET Ltd., which had distribution, flight training and maintenance for known aviation companies in the East European market, to name just a few: Mooney, Evektor, Aerospool, CZAW, TL Ultralight.
expirience and history
He and his team have sold and supported more than 70 aircraft. His engineering mind evaluated the designs, and his experience in maintenance and flight training was looking for better solutions to known challenges.
In 2005, he ventured into aircraft production by assembling kits for the composite aircraft Rally from the Italian producer S.G. Aviation and gained his first experience in aircraft production.
the AIRCRAFT
In 2009, he started with his first sketches of his vision of the perfect small aircraft under the working name ONE. Two years later, he flew a prototype of this aircraft. The plane premiered at the AERO show in Friedrichshafen the same year, attracting several buyers, and small serial production has started.
After building several aircraft, the team has optimised the ONE aircraft design with more than 100 upgrades based on the experience with the initial fleet, the most significant being an entire carbon structure that has given the aircraft its biggest advantage over the competition, a useful load of up to 350kg.
FORMING THE GOGETAIR COMPANY
A now-winning design, ONE aircraft was rebranded to G750 – not to be mistaken with airforce ONE ;-), and Iztok and his wife Ania have formed a new company named GOGETAIR for the G750 aircraft production.
Inspiration for the company name came from the word go-getter – an ambitious person who eagerly goes after what is desired. This name fits perfectly with the company’s and its founders’ vision and values, with which the founders have infected a skilled, knowledgeable and passionate team of coworkers.
GOGETAIR company has an aircraft production certificate issued by Slovenian CAA.
